Patchwork Twinchies Overlay

Hi, When I saw this twinchies Overlay I was thinking of a patchwork kind of design. using paper and lace instead of fabric.

First I painted the Overlay in crackle paint, then added pieces of paper and lace to create the patchwork effect, I then inked or sprayed with glimmer mists the keys, peacock, mini frames etc.

On the keys in the clock face I used a gold leaf pen. And I also used real feathers from my chooks on the peacock.

To finish it off I used some pearls, flowers and the lace.

I used

CH143-clock large,

CH206-Baroque trim,

CH131- Flourish Shelley,

CH161- Ornate frame tiny,

CH227 Twinchies Overlay D

LW06- Peacock,

CH82- Keys,

CH193- Bird on a branch,

CH194- Fences mini,

CH219- Curly-q-trims,

CH206- Baroque trim

Who doesn't love numbers

One Moment 1 Hug One Love

Opps, I forgot that I had to get my sample up today........ sorry guys for the late start.

This is a quick Layout I threw together just before. I love to mix up the titles and use the occasional number for a bit of a highlight.

You can see here that I've focused on the number ONE, in both written and number form.

I've also used a heart from the new 'I love you' chipboard sheet which I've covered in old book paper and sprayed with glimmermist.

TFL. Can't wait to see what the other DT girls have come up with

Scrapware + glimmer mist = gorgeous!

Scrapware chipboard looks fabulous sprayed with glimmer mist!  As you are spritzing it on raw chipboard, the colours may vary, but experiment with the colours and see what effects you can create! If you want to keep the glimmer mist true to its colour, simply paint or ink your chipboard piece white first. For the layout below I have added Slate glimmer mist to this large flourish.

Glimmerslate

The result is a flourish with a beautiful silvery sheen.  I have added small orange flowers to the flourish to replicate the orange in the patterned papers I've used.  I've also added a bee to the beginning of the flourish to make it look like its bee buzzing all over my page. lol.

What time is it?

Time for another layout!!  In this layout, I have used Scrapware's large clock and coordinating hands. I have removed the centre of the clock and reserved it for a future layout.

CH143%20clock%20Large

KA01%20Clock%20Hands

The clock is one of the oldest human inventions, meeting the need to consistently measure intervals of time.  In scrapbooking terms, clocks can be used on layouts to represent growth, change, time passing by, nursery rhymes, birthdays or simply as a decorative element.  In my layout, I was able to represent my daughter's age of 3.5 by positioning the clock hands at 3:30.

CCG #124

The clock face has been treated with glimmermist, while the clock hands have been left raw.  The clock hands were attached to the layout with a brad so they still freely move.

Clocks are a great embellishment for layouts and look equally as effective on a layout about a little girl, or a heritage style layout.  What you will you use a Scrapware clock for?  Ask for Scrapware's clocks and hands at your lss today.

Home Tweet Home.

Hi Everyone,
Let me just start in saying a BIG Thank you to Ange and all the team at Scrapware, I feel so honored to be part of such a talented group of ladies.
So what a week! First I got my special package from Ange full of goodies, which I sat at the table looking at them all for about an hour, which made be nearly late for work, but it was so hard to go off and leave them sitting on the table, a bit like leaving your child the first day at childcare, lol.
Second one of my best friends Renee and family came down from Brissy, so in between work, cleaning the house, my husband and my daughter and cleaning out my scrap room, it didn't leave me much time to play.
This is what I finished off this morning after having a great night scrapping with Renee, I called the Birdhouse Home Tweet Home.
I just LOVE birdhouses and I LOVED Linda's one which she did last week.
I really LOVED making this Birdhouse and found it really easy to put together.
Hope you like it, Gilly :-))))

Write It - Puzzle pieces

Scrapware's new Write It - Puzzles designed by Lisa Warren, are a functional and decorative way to incorporate journaling into your layouts.  The chipboard pieces are made up of three interlocking journaling spots.  The centre piece pops out so you can insert a photograph - you then have an extra journaling spot to use on another layout or project!  What a great way to get more bang for your  buck.  The large version suits a 3"x4" photo, while the smaller version suits a passport sized photo.

LW07 Write-it Puzzle Large

In this layout, Lisa has used a number of 3"x4" photos and highlighted the feature photo inside the large Write-It Puzzle frame, which has been inked chocolate.  The journaling pieces top and bottom have been stamped with a decorative image and then chalked.  Scrapware chipboard chalks incredibly well.

Write-It Puzzles are available from Scrapware now.
